CfP@ECPR-METHODS: Experimental Methods: Political Institutions and Elite Behavior, MPSA 2017

Call for papers for a few panels on  “Political Institutions and Elite Behavior: Experimental Approaches” for the 2017 Midwest Political Science Association meeting in Chicago, by Dan Butler and Christian Grose.

The goal is to bring together researchers utilizing experiments (field, survey, lab, or otherwise) to study questions related to political representation, political institutions, and the behavior of political elites. We are interested in people who are interested in presenting either a research paper or design proposal that utilizes experiments where political elites are the subjects or where political elites deliver treatments to individual citizens.  These panels are being organized through the Experiments section of the 2017 MPSA.

If you are interested in participating, please contact us by October 3.  Also, please indicate whether you plan to present a full research paper with a completed experiment, or whether you plan to present a research design.  Once we have collected the information from all of the participants, we will submit them together as a set of panels.  We can be reached at cgrose@dornsife.usc.edu<mailto:cgrose@dornsife.usc.edu> and daniel.butler@gmail.com<mailto:daniel.butler@gmail.com> or at 818-277-6789 (Christian) or 314-799-3836 (Dan).

Please don’t hesitate to contact us with additional questions as well.

Sincerely,

Dan Butler and Christian Grose
