!!! Call for nominations for the new SGPM Steering Committee !!! (updated)
Over the past years, the SGPM has developed consistently. We are now 252 members on the ECPR web platform and 546 on Facebook (27 June 2016). The group is lively thanks to your interest and support and we wish to thank you for this.
As you may know, ECPR standing groups are now expected to hold elections to their steering committee (SC) every three years. We are just preparing the first election. Note that all members registered on the ECPR platform are allowed to apply and to vote. Self-nomination for all five SGPM SC seats is now open. If you wish to contribute to the development of methods and methodology in political science as part of the SC, submit your nomination until noon CET on 22 July 2016.
In order to do so, please send a short biography and a statement explaining how you would carry on the SGPM’s work, in no longer than 3,000 characters, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can find our draft constitution, which has been submitted to the ECPR Executive Committee in early May below. The text is still to be validated by the ECPR, however its main lines should organise the work of the SGPM over the next three years. It also describes the purpose of the SGPM, its organisation and the election process.
If you have any question relative to the work of the SGPM or to the election, please email us!
With our best wishes,
Your current SGPM SC
Philippe, Theofanis, Lea, Kathrin and Tomas
